K-pop announcements assume a vocabulary that new listeners may not know. A group has a "comeback" without having gone anywhere. An album can ship in five versions and some fans buy more than one on purpose. There is a title track, and it is not the track the album is named after. Weekly music shows hand out trophies using formulas that can weight digital streams, physical sales and fan voting differently. None of this is difficult once the terms are defined, but newcomers are often expected to infer them from announcements and fan conversations.
