KpopComebacks is an independent release calendar and editorial site for K-pop fans. It organizes confirmed releases we track across Korean, Japanese, US, and UK schedules into monthly calendars with dates, release types, title tracks when identified, and announced times where the timezone is defined.

Why I built this site

KpopComebacks is run by one person, and my K-pop story starts with GFRIEND. In 2015 I watched the famous fancam of their rain-soaked outdoor stage — Yuju slipping and going down again and again on the wet floor, and getting straight back up every single time to finish the song. That was it for me. I've been a K-pop fan ever since, and it started right there.

Living in Korea gave me the chance to attend a music show recording and a GFRIEND fan sign, where I received their autographs. I took the sudden 2021 goodbye harder than I'd like to admit, and their reunion years later felt like it happened to me personally. The whole arc is in The GFRIEND Saga — the article on this site I most needed to write.

Yuju was my favorite member, which is why every hand-written article here is signed YUJU. The pen name is a small thank-you to the person who kept getting back up.

These days K-pop belongs to the whole world, and I kept noticing how much harder it is to follow from outside Korea — release dates scattered across screenshots, formats that don't translate, culture that never gets explained. This site is my attempt to hand over what fans in Korea get to take for granted: a reliable calendar first, and honest guides to the culture around it.

Working on it means constantly asking myself what made me fall for these artists in the first place, and building the site around those answers. If there's information you wish we covered, let me know — requests genuinely shape what gets written next.

Where our data comes from

Research can begin with public schedule sites, press reports, agency announcements, artist accounts, and teaser schedules. A new or changed calendar entry requires at least two independent sources, and the source must actually support the specific date, title, type, or time being recorded. Official artist and agency material outranks an aggregator when they conflict. The full process and the older entries still awaiting published source records are explained on How We Verify.

What we don't do

• We don't publish rumors or unconfirmed leaks as confirmed releases.
• Videos are embedded from official artist, label, or broadcaster channels. Artist photos hosted here use Creative Commons licenses, with the source, creator and license credited beside each photo.
