This Week in K-pop: August 3-9, 2026 Comebacks

August moves into its first full week with a schedule that runs from Monday through Friday. For me, the easiest way to follow it is to keep the dates in view and pair every release name with its listed title track. The full month is also available on the August 2026 K-pop comeback calendar, where these releases sit alongside the rest of August’s schedule.

Monday, August 3

Picheolin (DINO of SEVENTEEN) starts the week with the mini album 吉BOARD. Its title track is “놀아보세 (prod. Hitchhiker),” so both the Korean title and the production credit are part of the track name listed for this release.

Monday also brings Red Velvet back with Velvet Summer, categorized as a summer mini album. “Surfin’ Boy” is the listed title track. With both releases arriving on the same date, I would keep the full album and track pairings together: Picheolin’s 吉BOARD with “놀아보세 (prod. Hitchhiker),” and Red Velvet’s Velvet Summer with “Surfin’ Boy.”

Tuesday, August 4

KISS OF LIFE follows with the single SWEAT, led by the title track “SWEAT.” TWS shares Tuesday’s date with the Japanese single SODA SODA, whose title track is also “SODA SODA.” The matching release and track names make Tuesday especially straightforward to scan, while the release types distinguish the two entries.

Wednesday, August 5

My midweek list begins with AEN and the EP A NEW ERA OF NOW. Its listed title track is “X to Z (Next to Me).” WHIB also releases CHERRY PIE, a mini album led by “CHERRY PIE.”

The Wednesday schedule continues with HUH JIWON. The Calling is listed as a mini album, and “CALL ME UP” is its title track. I’m keeping those exact combinations together: AEN’s EP alongside the mini albums from WHIB and HUH JIWON. Keeping the release types beside the names helps separate A NEW ERA OF NOW, CHERRY PIE, and The Calling at a glance.

Friday, August 7

After Wednesday, the next dated entries arrive on Friday. Stray Kids releases the mini album THIS & THAT, with “This & That” listed as its title track. ARTMS also returns on August 7 with the mini album Hyper-Ego, led by “Blue Blood.”

Friday closes the dated portion of this roundup, as the current schedule has no entries for August 8 or 9. I’ll be using the monthly calendar for the wider August view while keeping this page focused on the album-title-track pairings for the week.
